Jamieson is a town located approximately 35km south of Mansfield. Located on the banks of the Goulburn River, where the Goulburn flows into Lake Eildon, Jamieson has a rich history dating back to the gold rush of the 1850s. At this time the population of Jamieson was several thousand - with breweries, banks and all the amenities of a thriving town of it time. Accommodation in Jamison was provided by its many hotels and pubs operating during this time. Today the town is home to approximately 250 residents.
